Valerie Alduen of Cocoa's Bits & Pieces, custom mosaic designs is a self-taught artist
born and raised in Chicago known as Cocoa.  Her works are comprised of an array of
brilliant colors, textures and patterns varying from functional art to expressing herself
through images.

Materials primarily used are hand cut stained glass and ceramic.  Recently, she has begun
incorporating natural elements such as rocks, wood, leaves and shells collected along
various travels to accent her work.  The finishing cement and mortar colors are blended
specifically to compliment the creation thus making each mosaic piece unique and one of
a kind.
