“Birth Of Unconditional Love...Ernesto B. DeArmas
22" x16" oval décor, stained glass and stones
(111th Project_Created February 2008)
$850
I was once asked to give my interpretation of Valentines
Day; does it make me flush with thoughts of love or bitter
from a relationship gone sour?  From that question
steamed the piece "Birth Of Unconditional Love, Ernesto B.
DeArmas" dedicated to my son, born on February 16th.

This piece is about him, our bond and the gift that women
have to create and nurture just as nature does.  It's a
snapshot of motherhood's bond that keeps me grounded,
helped me to grow and has guided me for the last 18 years.

"Am I Holding On To Grief, Or Is It Holding On To Me...
Hard To Say Goodbye"
18"x22" Framed decor, stained glass and stones
(130th Project_Created February 2008)
$850

This piece was born and created out of my search to aid the
grieving process.
.....

My goal in creating this piece was to express, and take ownership
of my emotions.  I wanted to relieve some of the pressure the
grief was causing me, but most of all to get some closure on
those chapters and move on.  I am no longer afraid, or feel guilty
to be happy on good days, I recognize that the bad days will be
there sooner or later.  I have gone back to living my life rather than
going through motions, and have accepted that I will inevitable
die as will everyone else.  What I truly hoped to accomplish, to no
avail was to eliminate the feeling of loss and/or fill the emptiness;
sadly, it's still there, it always will be.

This was one of my first pieces of expression, I did a free-hand
sketch of what a women represented to me.

Without nature we could not live, without woman's reproduction
there would be not life.
